Rectangular curtain fire damper with non-insulated
folding blades

• Available fuses: +50, +72, +65, +100, +150 or
  +200 °C
• Classification of casing leakage EN 1751 Class C
• Hot galvanized steel design

• Fire tested to BS 476:part 20:1987 at the

  Warrington 
• Fire tested to NORDTEST NT FIRE 010 standard,
  which is the subject of the PAL 2876/73, No
  PAL 3132 b, No PAL 3132 c Research Reports of
  the Fire Technology Laboratory of the Technical
  Research Centre of Finland.

Function

The SSA is a fire damper suitable for rectangular

and circular ducts. The damper prevents the

spread of fireand smoke in insulated ventilation

ducts. The SSA is suitable for installation either

horizontally or vertically so that the blades close

downwards. Various release mechanisms are

possible. A temperature increase in a ventilation

duct causes a thermal fuse release, allowing the

springs to close the damper blades. The bottom

blade is locked after the curtain has closed,

preventing accidental reopening.

The standard nominal fuse release temperatures

 are +50 and +72 °C, but release temperatures of

+65, +100, +150 and +200 °C are available.
